Hi everyone, I am new to gbpvr, however I just got my laptop set up with a WinTV-HVR 950 and all of my HDTV channels over the ATSC tuner come in great with the exception of two channels (NBC and WGN). With these two channels, my computer will only display the top left portion of the video.

I've tried the different Video and Audio decoders, and the different video renderers and haven't had any luck. When I use the WinTV2000 application, the channels play back perfectly.

I have attached a .zip file with all of the screenshots of my system

Any help would be appreciated. My system is a:

- Dell inspiron 700M, Pentium M 1.6GHz, 512MB RAM, Windows XP SP2, .NET 3
- Intel Extreme Graphics 2 video card
- Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 950 (I'm having a similar issue with a PlusTV HD Stick 330)
- GB-PVR v1.1.5

Thanks in advance for the help.

-Bill C.

Unfortunately installing the mpv decoder didn't do anything. I was having a similar issue using another recording product, TotalMedia 3. That software package said that my video card didn't support hardware accleration or subtitles, and that I should disable subtitles. When I disabled subtitles, NBC played back perfectly. Is there a way to disable subtitles in gb-pvr?

make sure you have the latest driver for your video card aswell
pvrx2 uses direct3d to siplay the picture so sometimes it can be driver related
you can disable subtitles in the last tab of config under misc

Thank you for all of your help stustunz, I have the latest version of the Intel graphics driver, and directX 9.0c, I'm really starting to run out of ideas.

Can you try viewing on of these problem channels to reproduce the error, then zip and attach your pvrx2.exe-native.log file? I'll check there is no unexpected directshow filters being used.

Thank you so much for agreeing to take a look at my log file. The file PVRX2.exe-native.log has some interesting errors logged at the end of the log file. It looks like it is not able to detect the aspect ratio: unknown source aspect ratio...showing full frame

That definitely seems like a good description of the error message, hopefully there is a way to fix that. :-)

Sorry, I dont know.

Its gotta be related to your video decoder or video card in some way.
