I'm starting to use this and it sure saves alot of disk space Smile
The problem is that when I restart the PC or just shut it down for the night,
the transcoding won't restart on that perticular file when I turn the PC on again.
I looked in the table you(sub) told me and the line is gone.
There is a column called 'percentage' and I guess that is how far its come in the transcoding, but it stays zero all the time until the change is done then that line is deleted from the database.

It should restart the transcoding, right?

That percentage column is no longer used. It used to do something back in the old days when there was only simple transcoding built in that could convert from mpeg to wmv/divx. Now GB-PVR just launches the external ffmpeg to do the transcoding, and GB-PVR has no idea how far through it is.

may I ask why this is?
If the line still is in the database table, it could redo it, right?
I just tested to just kill the ffmpeg process and that made the line disappear.
I have no idea how this works, but don't you get some sort of response code from it?
Like an errorlevel thing or something?

It only attempts to run the transcoding once on the assumption that it either succeeded, or if it failed then running it again is only going fail again.

It doesnt get any outcome information from ffmpeg.

I might be able add something in this specific situation you describe in a future release, but I cant promise it'll be in the next release at this stage. It wouldnt resume from where it left off, but it could start again from the start of the file.

OK, that's cool Smile better to do it all over than nothing at all
btw... I have a recorded thing(Mission To Mars) in mpg that I want to transcode too, but this episode dosn't exist in the table: RECORDING_SCHEDULE that I noticed had the 'OID' number that I had to write in the 'TRANSSCODE_QUEUE' table.
I tried to add a line in that table(RECORDING_SCHEDULE) but that just made the hole thing
(the service, the system tray icon and the 'live' viewing window) to totally get "FU" :p and I got a program crash too
Is there another thing I have to add in another table to get this show added into the GBPVR system, if you know what I mean, so I can add a transcode line to it?

You can use the 'transcode' button in the Video Library to transcode it.

I just tried to add the video library addon, but it seems I can't.
I can't change anything in 'Menu and plugins'.
The things I added long time ago, are there but now I can't even remove those either.
Do you know what can be wrong with this?

Sorry, just started to work

but... I can't change the disk partition. Only my C partition directories

The Video Library isnt a plugin or addon - its just one of the standard screens thats usually present.

You can add any drives or directories on the 'Directories' tab in the config app.
