Anyone have this? I start watching a mkv file, and it will get blocky in motion areas. If I restart GB, it's fine.

what kinda vid card?
usually it's hardware decoder doin that..or decoder not keeping up...
what demux are you using?

or maybe you got one of those bad encodes with massive ref frames...[out of spec]
if so, try a software decoder...

Since GB-PVR just asks DirectShow to play the file, my first test with a sketchy file is to attempt to play it in Windows Media Player. You can right+click the file name in the playlist and then see what decoder/codec it is trying to use. I'm a fan of the Combined Community Codec Pack, myself.

I don't think it's the card, since it fixes when I exit/open GB. If it was the computer, I would suspect the card.

I'm using the CoreAVC codec w/ Matroska. It looks like there's a new version out, so I may try that, too.
