hip channel changing, changes channel perfectly every time when i use the remote or keyboard, however when changing channel to record, it often fails? not sure where to start looking... happens especially when waking after being on standby regularly. could be the stb i guess, i might swap it out on thursday and check... ive tried zero padding, putting an additional manual zero (which gives a nice pause) at the start of the channel change params... again, works perfectly when changing channel, but doesnt seem to when coming out of standby or doing a recording - blaster flashes but stb doesnt pick it up. I suspect its the stb, but i was wondering if anyone could recommend a way to test easily when returning from standby - or perhaps to add a channel change before the recording channel change when returning from standby (a bandaid, i know... but if it works, it works Smile)

Also, transcoding doesnt seem to be occuring, not sure where to look to see why, logs are attached.

thanks Smile

As far as I can tell GB-PVR is living up to its end of the bargain and running HIPSend.exe, but something is going wrong at the hip end of things. It might be worth checking if this utility generates any logs you can look at.

You could have the '.exe channel changer' run a batch file, in which you could add whatever extra logging you want, or call HipSend.exe as many times as you want.

You might need to use a tool like SQLiteSpy to execute the following SQL to get the transcoding working again:

Code:
delete from TRANSCODE_QUEUE;

have used sqlitespy exec'd the line you show above, hopefully that'll work - has gotten rid of all the random stuff it had under the transcode queue.
i may try swapping out my stb thursday for a motorola (currently have a pace) and see if that makes any difference to the channel changing - thanks for your help sub, always very much appreciated Smile
