Here's the zipped up xml file for the next seven days (to 7/1/2008) that I generated for the following channel names (channel names should match those you have in your GBPVR xmltv config)

BBC1 London & South East
BBC2 London & South East
BBC3
BBC4
CBBC
Cbeebies
Channel 4
Five
Film4
Five Life
Five US
ITV1 Granada
ITV2
ITV3
ITV4
Men & Motors
Sky Three

I'm not a *nix guru, so can I ask the significance of the "less than" symbols on the BBC 2 Wales line??

edit- seems to have worked for me without any less than symbols. I did need a -f on the command line though to indicate the .awk program

Can I ask how these programming fixes will suit everyone, as they will have different lists of channels to start with and bleb misses out many +1 services etc. For example I don't add nuts TV and cbbc and ceebeebies amongst a few to my epg. Whats wrong with the off air epg in the mean time apart from the 5 mins it takes to pull it off.

Another awk question please.
With something like
"Paramount" to become "Paramount Comedy 1" and
"Paramount 2" to become "Paramount Comedy 2"

How do you stop the singular "Paramount" substituting in the second one as well ?????

There's no Satellite channels.

I'm getting my epg for two nova-t channels over the air and analogue + satellite channels from bleb via xmltvgui and awk

Martint123,
This is what I used for the paramount problem

sub(/Paramount</,"Paramount Comedy 1<");
sub(/Paramount 2/,"Paramount Comedy 2");

Thanks for that Sam, I'll give it a whirl shortly. I guess my earlier question about the < symbols would have great relevance by the looks of it.

Every time I look in man pages for these and other text utilities I get totally lost.......

Hi,

The "less than" symbol matches the "less than" symbol in the input text that immediately follows "BBC 2 Wales" . I use the matching with the < symbol included to make sure I match upto the end of the string - e.g "BBC 2 Wales" only and not "BBC 2 Wales Digital" as well. I think I oiginally used it for separating "BBC 2" and "BBC 2 Wales" as separate strings and may have had some copy and paste hangover Smile

Gotcha, works a treat now. Stops it finding a string within a longer string.
