I have weird problem, when recording any local channel, live sound is always on. If watching a Sattelite channel or playing a recording simultaneously will hear two sounds.

Recording from local has no sound when played back.

Thanks

Can you do a recording then zip and attach your GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log and GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log files?

Set the logging level back to 'debug', then repeat and repost the logs.

Yep, thats very odd to see audio decoders used when recording.

Maybe try removing those filters I've highlighted above from your system. You can use a tool like the directshow filter manager from http://www.softella.com/dsfm/index.en.htm

Sorry to ask, but if you have the time would you mind looking at mine too?

I'm using a WinTV-HVR 950 to record OTA ASTC and mux to TS.

When I plug into my laptop, I get sound in the recorded file. When I plug into my desktop, there's only video but no sound. I tuned to the same channel and used the same version of Media Player Classic in both instances.

(I had to edit the Desktop files to bring them down to an allowable size)

I use HDTV2MPEG to convert from TS to Mpeg, then I run them through MediaInfo.

You probably dont have an AC3 capable audio decoder installed on your desktop machine.

Try installing AC3Filter.

I checked and it has AC3Filter.

I'll keep trying and I'll report back if I get it working.

Thanks.

Try playing the file on that machine, then zip and attach your pvrx2.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.
