Exit video doesn't release codec?

Ok, I am experiencing a strange issue when viewing various video files. What happens is that I exit the video or it ends. If I reload that video file or another video file with the exact same codec, the video plays at half speed and there is no audio. If I totally exit out of PVRX2 and then relaunch the program and watch the video it works fine. Also if I play another video that uses a different codec, close it and then launch the previous one it works. I am assuming that for some reason that it isn't releasing the codec when the video exits and if you try to play the same codec it runs into a problem. Does anyone know a way to force it to release the codec for sure when you exit from a video?

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

I'm pretty sure GB-PVR is living up to its end of the bargain and releasing any decoders etc that it is using, otherwise we'd be seeing other people with the same problems.

Based on past experiences, it'll be one of the directshow filters that is being used that is causing the problem. The logs show the following are being used:

I'm guessing its somehow related to the Nero MP4 splitter. If not that, then ffdshow. All I can suggest is systematically working your way through the filters shown here, and replace them until you narrow it down to the specific problem filter.

Also worth trying to set your audio renderer back to 'system default'. Probably worth trying this first since its the easiest thing to test.

Removing the Nero Splitter and installing the Matroska Splitter package instead seems to have resolved the issue. Once I uninstalled the Nero Splitter I wasn't getting any sound from my .mov files so I had to install the Matroska package. Everything seem to be groovy now.
