Yes the auto convert bit? i just wondered if you could do it without using that, so be able to do it through the PVRX2 gui like you can in the video library section?
Oh right ok, i thought i might have been missing some built in functionality. I presumed that the transcoding of recordings would be similar to the way the video library works with transcoding.
Thanks for the help and if you ever do find time to finish the user time specified transcoding that would be useful feature
You've created an awesome piece of software all the same!
Just recorded a tv show and then let the auto convert do its thing and there are a few issues.
The show was in widescreen so filled my widescreen monitor however once converted there looks like there is a lot more interlacing (i thik thats what it is) than the original, andit looks to be squashed to 5:4 aspect ratio or similar.
Any ideas?
EDIT - on second look, if i play the avi in another program such as VLC the file looks fine?
GB-PVR uses ffdshow to do these conversions. If the default conversion profiles dont work out for you, you can tweak them to do whatever you want by editing the command lines in the <CustomFFmpegConversions> section of config.xml.

If it works find in another player, you'll probably find you can press F7 to get the aspect ratio the way you need it.
