Code:
SET video_encoder=x264
SET full_resolution=no
SET SDvideo_width=full
SET HDvideo_width=full
SET output_fps=auto
SET CPUs=2
SET x264_quality=18

Thanks, I'll try this.
Is it also possible somehow to just crop the black bars from the MPG file and not transcode it?

Any idea on this error? I have it in debug mode, it gets through most of the options and then says, "( was unexpected at this time."

It doesn't seem to reach the actual mencoder. Path files are correct from what I see. File attached.
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

Unfortunately no. If the black bars were cut, the new frame would need to be transcoded.

I only got part of the debug. You might want to set a larger buffer for that window. To do that:

When the window is open:
Right-click on the black dos icon
Choose properties
Layout tab
Set screen buffer size to 5000
Save (modify this shortcut)

My first guess is that a path is incorrect. (Most likely mplayer)

You can also attach your configured script and there may an .info file in the show directory. Attach that too.

Hi,
I have tried using the script and have been running into a problem with getting zero operands and such - the script runs and then ends without creating anything other than a 0 size info file.
i saw previous posts with a similar problem that was resolved by verifying the path to mplayer, but that seems to be correct...
attached is the output.
This is really frustrating, but i am an optimistic and hope i just forgot something basic...
Thanks.

Hi G2k,

The script thinks the file name is "F:\Recordings\?. ????????????? ????????\?. ????????????? ????????_20070205_14351450.mpg" which I'm sure isn't correct. Perhaps it doesn't recognize the characters. What was the name of the source file in that log file?

How are you starting the script? Are you dropping a file on it or are you just double-clicking on it to start directory monitoring?

Try dropping the file on the script if you haven't already.

Hi Stattik, the characters are hebrew (there is no english EPG, so i am stuck with that) - when i renamed the file and directory it worked fine - thanks Smile
(BTW - i was dropping the file onto the script)
Is there any way to get the script to recognize the charcters correctly, or am i going to have to be renaming the files for this to work?
Thanks

Method B and C seem the best bet.

Tell me if it works out.

What is the best profile for generating PDA (240x320) content? Or can I create a new profile for this?

Other question: I'm using the 'crop on all sides' hack posted earlier in this topic. Will this be incorporated in the 'final' release?
