I used an xml file for the EPG in the setup, but when i try to map the digital channels, it gives me: "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application..."
Under that it says: "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt."
What could be the problem? Thanks in advance.

Reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

It is unable to connect the device filters up. Are you sure some other software isnt using the device? ie, not running MCE or something else in the background?

I don't have media center, and i uninstalled the recording software that the pinnacle pctv hd prostick came with, which i heard caused problems.
Also, if i go to 'capture sources,' it says 'tuning request' instead of channel sources. When i go to the TuningAssistant, it does not list my card, as it does in capture sources. Looks like i'm in a pickle.

UPDATE: I looked in the windows task manager (alt + ctrl + del) and looked in the processes tab, and saw that GBPVRRecordingSevice.exe was running and taking a good chunk of memory, although i didnt open it. Is it supposed to be running in the background, even if i didnt click it? If not, i think this is the key to my problem.

Is this the only capture device in your machine?

Can you run Filtercheck.exe from the GB-PVR directory then post the filtercheck.log that gets created.

Thats normal.

This is also normal. The Tuning Assistant is only used for analog devices. This is a digital device.

It is supposed to be running all the time in the background.
