Does anyone know of a software method for defeating the activity LED of a DVD drive?
if it matters I have an Asus DRW-2013L1T drive.
Ive tried googling and couldnt find anything, im just trying to avoid opening my box up again, though i have these three potential solutions:
1) small piece of electrical tape (a bit cheap looking)
2) stealth modding the dvd drive (on an NSK2480, im planning on doing it but have been lazy thus far)
3) taking the drive out and physically disconnecting the LED from any power source.
all of these would take more physical effort than i would like to put into it so i am hoping there is a software solution.
