Hi,
After trawling through the forums and the MVP wiki I thought I would add a note here for anyone who has the same problem as me when using GBPVR on the Hauppauge MediaMVP.
When trying to play any non-Mpeg 1/2 file the MVP would just reset back to the "contacting server" screen and after different dongles, changing the transcoding, installing/uninstalling the Hauppauge software I couldn't find out why this was happening.
After a lot of frustration I found one simple thing which was broken: I had no "C:/Temp" directory for the temporary transcoding to take place! That's all it was! Just FYI, in the "config" options, under the "directory" tab there is a reference to the temporary directory used to transcode files, normally "C:/Temp". I am assuming that this is the directory used by GBPVR when it does the transcoding for the MVP so just make sure you have this directory available!
Thanks to everyone for all the posts and help on the site, and to the authors of GBPVR - I'm now using GBPVR succesfully with my wireless MVP.
