Pinnacle PCTV HD Ultimate Stick (880e)

Any chance the Pinnacle PCTV HD Ultimate Stick (880e) will be supported?
in the clearQAM mode also?

I did not see it listed in the BDA list.

I'm actually picking up one of these tomorrow for someone (Pro version). I will test it and let you know.

I think the pro is suported but it does not support clearQAM (clear cable)

The Ultimate is different hardware and supports QAM and has a 1gig memory stick the apps run off of.

Apparently QAM is not supported on this device out of the box. An update must be downloaded to enable it. I'm downloading it now and will report back.

GB-PVR does not support QAM with this tuner. Pinnacle will need to supply sub with the information on how to programmatically enable QAM with their drivers.

OK. So I downloaded GB-PVR and installed it. I have the Pinnacle PCTV Ulitimate Stick attached to my USB.

Can someone tell me how I can get GB-PVR to recognize it and be able to use this software with my stick? When I hit "only show devices detected in this machine" I get the following: "No known cards detected in this machine".

Then start the config app and create a capture source. When you set the recording source to 'BDA Recording Plugin' then tick the "only show devices detected in this machine" and it should show this new device.

Adding TUNING_SPECIAL=2 to the INI allows GB-PVR to receive QAM channels, at least on the RCN system in Chicago, using Pinnacle's beta QAM drivers. Unlike the TVCenter Pro that comes with the stick, it actually works
