Over the weekend, my pvrx2 decoder (cyberlink, VMR9 Custom) stopped working. I could only get audio in pvrx2 & windows media player. Video was black. I changed to another decoder & no problems. I tried unregistering & reregistering all the filters, including cyberlink, without success. I even tried installing a new copy of the decoder file in case the existing one was corrupt. I've been using Cyberlink since gbpvr was installed months ago. The only thing different is a new SATA hdd (non-Raid) I installed on Friday. I created 2 NTFS partitions (one for XP, one for data), and cloned my old IDE drive into the new XP partition. In addition to reregistering the filters I tried lowering hardware acceleration on the chance that the new drive was too fast. No go.
Can anyone think of a reason why just the Cyberlink decoder would have crapped out? Could it be the change from IDE to SATA? I really like the cyberlink picture & would prefer to fix the problem if possible.
