With the latest release the output to my Imon VFD is working. Great!!
However I only get Date/Time and Next Recording. No information about what is viewed or waht music that is playing. Is that something I need to enable?

Please check the "ExtensiveLogging" and the "Property Browser" boxes in the configuration. Rerun PVRX2 to repeat the problem and post the logs.

Please let me know if tou see the details changing in the Property Browser.

It seems as my problem is due to having tvo MVP servers active. As the mvp server is another instance of PVRX2 it also sends data to the display. Is it possible to make only the "main" pvrx2 program sending data to the screen.

Same version here.
One thing I noticed was that you db3 file is very large which might take a while to query. I had understood that SQL query's may not lock the database, but as a consequence, maybe my query is getting data from tables which are in the process of being updated (eg and EPG update - was this possible?), and generating the error. However, the error was not repeatable with the db3 file you sent to me, because all the updates were complete, and the tables internally consistent.

If this theory is correct, then at some point, the queries would work again, and the data displayed correctly on the LCD. I had avoided locking the database for a query, since that might run the risk of interrupting PVRX2's processing.

I believe this might be the same issue you reported with skat32e's iMONVFD plugin here. I thought I'd seen a post trying addressing the problem of IEventNotification responding to all events from the MVP's and not being able to distinguish who sent the event. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the post again.

I'll keep looking and see if there is a way to solve this problem.

Here's a patch that might address this problem. Can you please copy this file into plugins\ExternalDisplay, set extensive logging in config and post the logs if it doesn't work? Please let me know if it works too!

The patch is based on information from here but as I don't have MVP's I cannot test.

EPG gets updated at 3 am, so this shouldn't cause any interference with your plugin.
I also noted some heavy stuttering when watching TV - disappeared after deactivating ExternalDisplay.
I'll try to strip down my db3 file a bit, as you indicated that this might have caused the error. Keep you posted on that...

I wonder if there's anything else I can do with respect to my machine's configuration. Should I try and disable other plugins, just in case ?

Hello
Thanks for trying to fix this even though you don't have a MVP.
Sorry to say it behaves the same as before.
Enlcosed is two log files PVRX.exe-1.log where I have the mvp server started first and then the main PVRX2 GUI -> no music info on the LCD only NEXT Recording.

Second log file I have only the PVRX2 gui started - no MVP server. This time music info is displayed ok.

Interesting to see is that when I after this starts the MVP server it seems as if both are writing to the display alternating.

EDIT
Added the MVP-PVRX2 log also this is the log created by the mvp server.

This is worrysome, since it might be related to a similar problem I have with seen before.

No, nothing else yet. I'll build a patch with some logging for the Noritake T series that will help confirm a the possible cause of the stuttering.

Thanks for you PM OscarL - Can you repost the logs, especially the MVP-PVRX2 logs. Your system description in the PM of your Antec+LCD and two MVP on the ethernet was useful.
