Hi,

Does GBPVR play m4a files ?
( such as those produced when importing with ITunes using the AAC encoder. )

Anyone know how to get GBPVR to play these?

When I attempt to play these files with the Music Library in GBPVR nothing happens. I see from the pvrx2 error logs that there are memory exceptions firing whilst attempting to read the album art ?

Aren't iTunes files encrypted so that they can only playback via the iTunes player or an iPod? Without a decryption key it would be rather difficult to get them to play via GBPVR...

No these are unencrypted - they were ripped from a CD.
If they were bought from Itunes they would be encrypted and would have the m4p extension.

If you have directshow filters installed to play this type of file, then GB-PVR should be able to play them. You should check that you can play them in Windows Media Player first. If it works there, then it should also work in GB-PVR.

Download the k-lite codec pack. aac will then work with wmp and gbpvr.
