File Renaming Utility: AddEpisode

Last night I sent an email off to Avast with all the details and offending .exe indicating I believed it was a false-positive.

I think a definition file update occurred, because now when I attempt to run AddEpisode.exe, no error occurs.

One feature request; I'm running into a issue with some post processing I'm performing that relates to some filenames. Is there any way to configure replacing non-alphanumeric with "." or something like that.

I've seen issues with ( ) ' so far; Is there a way to avoid this without scrubbering the EPG data?

You'll have to ping the author of the plugin, other than updating the EPG, I can't think of any way to tweak the resulting filename.

AddEpisode is changing the filename fine. But it appears that it is not updating the GBPVR database (sqlite). Any file that has been renamed using addepisode does not show up GBPVR. I have run it from the postprocessing.bat file and manually with the same results. The addepisode log file only indicates that it is changing the name successfully. Any ideas?

The author of addepsiode has not posted on the forum for a year so I guess he is no longer around.

This is a shame as when it works, addepisode is fantastic but for me it only works about 90% of the time. When it fails, I end up with "Failed" recordings in the recordings screen.

I too use AddEpisode and would like to have a supported version.

Would there be any objection or issue with me rewriting this utility (under a new name) and making it command line compatible with the prior AddEpisode utility?

would I mind you writing a new 100% reliable episode renaming utility?
