MediaMonkey 3 plugin

MediaMonkey 3 is just brilliant for managing really large audio collections. I swear by it, over other options.

However, it doesn't do video.

I'd love a MM3 plugin for GBPVR, so I can access the MM3 db and playlists from my TV (read only - since modification/playlist creation/& tag editing is best done in MM3)....oh, except Ratings, which I like to rate as I hear tracks from a random autoplaylist.

Thought it was only out in beta.....is the final version out now? I must give it a try. I've always liked how it played anything you threw at it.

Yep, final version was out for Xmas. Handles my 30,000+ collection effortlessly. Scriptable too, and lots of plugins available.

All I'm wanting really, is to access the playlists I've created in MM3 (including Auto-playlists), aswell as listings by Genre (MM3 supports multiple genres for any song), Artists, and Albums. Not even bothered about album art.

For tag management/tagging/renaming/organising/etc MM3 via Windows is the best tool to do it, so I wouldn't want to replicate that via a GBPVR plugin.

Basically, good playback features only, and as I do most of my listening from auto-playlists, I'd love the ability to rate a track as I hear it

With a minimum rating ability, I could queue any song for a pending tag change (maybe it had an incorrect genre tag) by giving it a 1/2 star, for example. Later, in MM3, I could process all those 1/2 star songs and change their genre then.
