Hi,

Does this skin support the MusicPanel plugin? It does appear to looking at the preview pictures and the fact there is a MusicPanel.xml file, however as soon as I add the UltraID3Lib.dll and MusicPanel.dll to the relevant directories and restart gbpvr, I get a "Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object". Any ideas?

it is not up - to - date for the new musicPanel. and it doesn't support the new myVideos-features. you must wait for a new version or change the *.xml-files yourself (just take the files from the default blue skin and change them).

Thanks for the info. The Blue skin panel directory didn't have a musicpanel.xml file so I modified the one supplied with the panel plugin to get it to work in the end.

Thanks for putting this together. I have switched to this skin as I think it looks fantastic. A few quick questions... I have added a "Music" grouping which I placed Jukebox, My Music, Netradio, etc. Is there a way and how would I assign a task.png to that folder so the dude with the headphones shows up when that folder is selected? I noticed since the "music" grouping isn't an actual plugin things are different. If it isn't possible to do this now would it be difficult to implement?

Being a big fan of GBPVR, do you think a GBPVR logo will ever be added? My vote would be to add some cool GBPVR logo within the skin.

I love this skin, it looks great. I have one problem though, MY Videos does not appear on the menu when using this skin. Am I doing something wrong?

Sorry that I haven't been following the forums recently. I have finally gotten MythTV running with my PVR-350 and now I'm a MythTV user. GBPVR is a fine piece of software, but my DVR project goals included running the DVR on a fully open source software stack.

So, as it stands I will no longer maintain the BlueMCE or BlueMCE2 skins. Now in a community such as this that should not be a problem - anyone can take over maintenance - they are just XML text files, afterall.

I'm not sure why My Videos would not appear in your main menu - it should. Perhaps Reven introduced a new requirement for the My Videos skin.xml file which is not reflected in the existing version of BlueMCE2. I'm not sure. You could look at the gbpvr log file to get a more detailed stack trace.

Did Sub implement submenus? I guess I don't understand how you "grouped" the plugins together. In any event, as far as I know the task images must be named task.png and must be located inside a folder named for a plugin. I'm not aware of any way to assign a task image to anything other than a plugin.

not possible right now to assign a task image to a sub folder. I asked sub a couple of weeks ago

yes. Sub has implemented submenus back in the release from early December. Thanks for putting BlueMCE2 together. Sorry to hear about you leaving, have fun with MythTV!


Well I guess the ability to have a task image assigned to a sub folder will have to be added to the wishlist. Maybe the image could be placed in the root gbpvr directory with the same name as the grouping / sub folder name.
