I've been using the ATI mpeg mux and have run into some problems with my recordings stuttering. Some of them play back fine, but others stutter continually (recorded off the same channel). VLC plays back all the video smoothly, but without any audio (even if the audio works fine in PVRX2). Reading on the forum, it seems that the DVR-MS mux might provide better results. Is that the case, and if so, is there any way to repair the recordings I have already? The ATI video decoder helped my analog playback a lot, so I changed the mux at the same time. I've tried switching my audio decoder to AC3Filter, MPEG audio, and InterVideo with no change.
Also, I've run into the issue of having the audio de-sync from time to time, usually with live analog TV. Changing channels and switching back usually fixes it, but is there a way to avoid it in the first place? Thanks.
