Is this possible? I could I potential have two different boxes going with TV Tuner cards in them, and then just have them storing there recordings in one place, and then when the one wants to watch a show it just has to stream it as a client....?

Not currently possible AFAIK.
It's been mentioned on the wishlist though.

I don't know why the majority of it wouldn't work other than the machines maybe not sharing the Recordings info. Meaning, you could add whatever hard drive partition letter to the opposite computer to watch any new recordings, but you'd have to do it through Video Library.

You can watch any file you want from any part of the network through Video Library, and I think GBPVR gives you the option of being able to delete files from Video Library, so you could watch and delete things fine, just might not have any recording info or comskip.
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

That's actually a good idea. Didn't think of that. I'm looking at not only my Large HD PC build but a ITX silent build for the bedroom. Both with separate Tuner cards. I'll have to get some pictures up when I get everything setup.

Would it not be better to put all tuners in one pc, then use the second pc as just a client?
Maybe I misunderstood what you're doing....

I'm just looking at my options right now on what I can do I want to have a quick responsive client for watching live TV so I was thinking about building a ITX case and putting a card in that for a box that may be quicker that the MVP, would this be the case, or is the MVP pretty quick (moving through menus, response to channel changes...etc)

I have wireless MVP running on a non-amazing setup - is responsive enough (channel change around 1 second, so similar to the sky box...).

That's exactly what I do - 1 main PVR w/ my 2 OTA tuners, and another on w/ 1 GHz celeron in the office w/ 2 PVR150's capturing from a Dish dual tuner, and another tuner for OTA capture from an STB. I have a whopping 10 gig drive in that one, so I just have it write to a network share (on my main PVR). You have to run the recording service as a user or else it won't have write rights Smile on the network drive. A quick search of the forum will give you the step by step on that one.
