Hi folks!

Just tried to update my GB-PVR Installation to 1.2.9 and got after installing an error message (because the config window was freezed).
After this i tried a repair installation which ended even with an errormessage.

Ok, i ignored this and tried to start the new UI of GB-PVR but i got only .NET 2.0 Error Messages.

Are here some other Vista 32 User which have this problems too? After macking a backup of the logs i will try a clean install again.

I'm using 1.2.9 on Vista.

You're probably getting the same thing as these guys though: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=33736

Perhaps, but i am not sure. Just made a completely clean installation and got NO Errormessage (just didn't changed anything within config while installing) and closed clean.

But... i can NOT start PVR2... i see a Framework Error Message and finish. Nothing more, the same like the update installation. oO

Framework 2.0 and VCRedist are of course already installed. Undecided

Do any logs get created, or maybe a message in the Windows Event Viewer?

Uh-oh, just saw something. If this machine is configured to act as a client (like all versions before) the i receive the mentioned errormessages and a not starting PVR.
If i DISABLE the Clientmode, then PVR starts up. oO
But it crash if i try to playback a video. All the logs i have are already in my first posting.

Unfortunately I cant see any errors in there. Are those log files updated when you try to run the app?

Yes, they will be updated after every usage. Just found out another problem:

If i disable clientmode and playback music (mp3) then the files are STUTTERING. Just imagine you would try to playback an MP3 on a 486 DX/33 CPU..., but... i'll try to playback the music on a Intel T5200 (2x1,6 GHz Core2Mobile CPU). The usage of both cores is under 10%.

oO

I'm just installing a client now to check.

I'd probably give the same advice as I gave this user earlier today: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=33753
