v1.1.16 MP3 and Net Radit stuttering

Video playback is fine, even 720P h264. But music library MP3 or net radio will ocasionally stutter. When it happens, the same 1 second window of audio will be repeated one or more times before normal playback resumes.

I tried with WMP without GBPVR ant then there is no problem !

What to do ?

GB-PVR doesnt do playback of MP3 files itself, it just asks Directshow to play them, and it'll choose an appropriate set of decoders from those installed on your machine.

You'd be able to see which decoders are being used by downloading GraphEdit, then selecting the 'render media file' menu option and selecting your MP3 file.

WMP doesnt always use the standard directshow filters for play MP3 files.

You impress me once again with your quick reply. I have checked with Graphedit and it shows MPEG 1 stream Splitter -> AC3Filter. Come to think of it, I did upgrade AC3filter a few months back from the oooold 0.70 version to 1.46, and this might have been the time when the trouble started.

I have disabled MPEG decoding in AC3 filter and now the MEG layer 3 decoder comes in before AC3filter in GraphEdit (guess it's still in there to relay the SPDIF???).
Will test over the next few days. Will do my best to try and remember to report back here.

Yep, I'd guess AC3 filter was the cause.
