avermedia m780

i have the avermedia M780 with vista x86.

I am trying to get my card to work in analog. I set up the devices it detect perfectly. I select avermedia m780 analog in the list and press okay and finish the config. However when i open gbpvr and press live tv. Nothing happen. Restart change codec etc. When i click on live tv. Nothing happen. I dont see any picture. It just says on the same main menu page.

I have a dish 301 receiver and i am hooking it up through s-video cable.

I think its Vista's virtual store getting in the way. Try deleting the "c:\users\<user account>\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files\devnz" directory, then try again.

i tried searching that. it is not there.

I have only 3 folder in withing "program files"

Analog devices
Common files
Windows Live

there isnt devnz in that path

also i do not want to set epg as the reciever already has its own epg

i also checked the 3 folders each but i could not see any folder call devnz within those 3

It sounds like you didnt setup your EPG in your capture source settings then. What did you set the EPG Source to?

You be able to see a list of enabled channels in your capture source settings.

Then you'll have no channels, which explains why you're having problems trying to view the TV Guide or starting live tv.

You need to setup the EPG.

i'm confused here. i get the epg within my reciever and i do want to use epg as i am not scanning any channels. Do i still have to enable epg?
