Upgraded to 1.2.9 and now my channel changer isn't working. I am using HIP and a MCE remote and blaster to control a dishnet stb. I haven't had this problem with previous upgrades.

I can go into the HIP and use the Test IR function and it all works so I am confident that the hardware is all still functioning and HIP is talking to it.

Just can't figure out why GBPVR or PVRX2 no longer appear to communicate with hip.

Deleted everything and restored my 1.1.5 install and the channel changer still isn't working.

Ideas?

Also I should have mentioned that I can run hipsend from the command line and change channels just fine.

I think HIP uses the clipboard to share information between HIPSend and HIP, so you probably need to set the recording service properties to 'allow service to interact with the desktop'.

When GBPCR is configured to use a EXE channel changer you gotta let the recording service interact wit hthe desktop?

Anyway, I set it so the service could interact with the desktop. And low and behold that fixed it.

Thanks Sub. Everything else looks golden so far. Going to go use that DONATE button.

Now if only I could get rid of EXIT on the main menu

Yes, but only with HIPSend. This is because HIPSend was designed to use the clipboard to transfer data to HIP. There are lots of other mechanism they could of used that would have removed this requirement.
