I have an issue that when watching a program while it is recording or watching livetv on my client, the video/sound is unwatchable and stutters badly.

Video is OK when watching video previously recorded.

I have tried a number of different codecs, but this does not fix the problem.

I have attached the graphs for the stuttered and unstuttered cases. The main difference between the two is the parser vs multiplexer.

Any ideas as to what is causing this?

I am not sure if this is my problem, but I am using file sharing and have the muxer set to Microsoft DVR-MS

This thread highlights the issue; See troubleshooting #5 - http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...nt+sharing

I will try and get streaming working with a mpeg mux; I am hoping~!

But before I do, are they referring to the mux on the server, the client or both?

AFAIR it it the server mux that is being referred to i.e. what is being streamed.
I use streaming with mpeg without any problems.
