I'm using ATI's complete AVIVO package with the 8.1 catalyst drivers.

Here's what's working for me:

CCC:
- Didn't change any of the 3D settings, I believe most are set by default to "application controlled" except I believe I might have set VSYNC to always on... instead of the default (if you get tearing, try turning VSYNC to always on, otherwise leave it alone).
- Pull-down detection UNCHECKED.
- Deinterlace set to AUTO.

GB-PVR Config:
- ATI MPEG video decoder
- VMR9 Full Screen Exclusive
- Encoder Pass-through

Both SD and HD content look awesome.

Oh, this is with a HD 3650
MY PVR:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Hardware: Silverstone LC13-E, Athlon II 250, Asrock 785GMH, 2GB Corsair RAM, 250GB WD HDD, 1TB WD Black, Hauppauge PVR-150 MCE tuner (s-video to Dish STB), HDHomeRun (ATSC x2), MCE2004 for Rx, USB-UIRT for Tx, Sony VL600 Remote, 36" Sony Wega HD CRT on DVI to embedded ATI HD4200.
TV Service: Dish Network and Antenna Pics 'n Details

Any particular reason you have that unchecked? Reduces tearing or something?
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

For some reason, when it is checked, i get a split second of interlaced video at the start of any motion and then it gets deinterlaced and looks fine... only happens with SD content, HD is fine. It kinda of appears as sparkles on tiny moving things and becomes very apparent as lines on large things that pan the screen. It only happened for some reason on certain channels. Unchecked the box and now everything is perfect. I'm guessing if I was ever play something outside of GB-PVR, I'd run into issues where I'd need to re-enable it, but right now SD and HD is looking great... besides that, the PVR never runs anything else other than GB-PVR, so it's a non-issue for me.
