These look correct to me. Reproduce the problem and post the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

To be honest, I'm not really sure. The names look correct.

I suspect there is probably something funny about the name, like a space at the end of filtername. You might have to search the registry and try cut&pasting the filtername, and surround it in quotes.

Has anyone had any success with the Winfast DTV Dongle Gold tuner/capture device?

I am having the same challenges that Whiterabbit99 had earlier this year. GBPVR Configuator returns the message "Failed to locate configured BDA capture device" when it attempts to scan for digital channels.

I am running Windows XP Pro SP3. Device Manager shows the device as a WinFast DTV Dongle Gold BDA Device.
Its location is shown as "Location 0 WinFast DTV Dongle Gold".
The driver came with SP3 but was provided by Leadtek, date 4/07/2007, version 7.7.4.1

I have made several attempts to construct a configuration in BDA.INI based upon those for other similar devices found there but using variations of the device name of WinFast DTV Dongle Gold BDA Device

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers,
David in Sydney, Australia.

Post your filtercheck.log and I'll take a look.

I am new to all of this [ I understand punch cards. Smile ] but I have produced a filterlog for you. Here it is.

You will notice that I also have another TV capture card in my PC, namley an ASUS P7131H, but that is another challenge for later.

Maybe try this section in your bda.ini file:

[Leadtek Winfast DTV Gold]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1
FILTER_RECEIVER=WinFast DTV Dongle Gold BDA Filter
PIN_RECEIVER_IN=Antenna In Pin
PIN_RECEIVER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Thanks Sub.

This config has recognized the Dongle and allowed me to scan for channels.

Unfortunately not all local channels were found but I consider that to be a separate challenge.
I will play some more and submit another post later if I find anything of interest and/or need further help.

(Hopefully I can now record the match tomorrow night.)
