Believe me the glitch was not intentional.

And I don't really think placing my donation message in a Paid Programming description to be all that obtrusive. Most people don't actually read the description for a Paid Programming show. They will only occasionally click on it... that's good enough for me.

Or I could just pick random moments to drop it into real shows' descriptions... I'm sure that would really fly!

yeah i know what your trying to do. and there is nothing wrong with it. it's just that late (which is usally when i am up) at night every channel that i have to go through has it. and for over 70's channels that kind of makes the statement "only nag" not very true. now random on those channels with a set limit might work better so it dont chew up the whole late night block.

You can try replacing your xmltv.dll in the MceEpg2XmlTv folder with this one and run the converter again. It will now output the file with ISO-8859-1 encoding.

I'm glad it's working for you now. If you don't mind me asking, at night are you channel surfing by using the ch+ and ch-. It's funny, I never imagined that scenario. LiveTV works pretty good switching channels, but because tere are so many damn channels, I always use the guide and check out my channel there. Because I have my genre colours setup, I stay away from the gray zone, (that's the paid programming colours)

Also, I usually have hours of prev recorded stuff to watch too.. But that's just me.

Jim_, who wrote I-XMLTV used to put messages in the paid programming descriptions. That just made sense for me...

I want the message to be seen. Four times a schedule is too easy to miss. So therefore, I It's a perfect compromise.

I could also check to see whether gb-pvr, comskip, and any other donateware has had donations made to it, and then change the title for those shows to 'Unpaid Programming'

At this time, I would like to drop the issue...

I've updated the enhancer again to 1.2.85

I've been having some trouble with timeouts while downloading pages from thetvdb.com and epguides.com The Timeout handling works well now, and reports the time outs in the log

I may be changing the technique I use to download the html/xml data from using the inet protocols, to the winsock protocols. It seems that winsock has more granular control over timeouts and error retry...
