Where did you find the DB4 clone locally?

Fleet Farm. Very similar to Farm & Fleet, but started by the brother who got ticked at the other brother in the family business or something. I know you won't have any of those specific stores in your state, but it's sort of like a Home Depot. I think Home Depot clearanced out ALL their antennas last year, so I wouldn't make a special trip to check them out there.

If anyone winds up ordering one, the ChannelMaster ones are generally considered the best for the price. Terks are usually ridiculously overpriced and aren't any better and sometimes worse.

Thanks. I have a very large Radio Shack yagi that i put up in the attic that seems to be getting the job done now compared to what everyone else is able to get in my area. Supposedly later this year, the tower in Denver should finally be up and broadcasting full power (I swear, Denver has got to be the last city nationwide to get into the fullpower digital age) so I'll see what the other guys around me are getting and if it's not up to snuff, look for one of those.

I just got an ATSC channel fire up in my city. I haven't bothered hooking up to my HVR1600 yet, but I got it working on my Wide Screen DTV tuner.

Here's what I did:

A bit of coax from the TV to a Video Signal booster. Then another bit of Coax. I stripped away about 4 inches of sheath and taped back the shielding. I then taped a metal coat hanger in parallel to the stripped coax.

The coat hanger was stretched out to make just a bit of a diamond (as opposed to the original triangle.) I hung that in my window up side down so that it's sorta looking in the sorta direction where I think the DTV transmitter tower is... Well it's where the station building is, but that doesn't really mean anything !!!

I get about 60 percent signal on my TV's ATSC tuner. I get HD and SD (as the station switches back and forth)

Now I'm thinking of making that whole thing look better. Maybe build it into a dream catcher kinda thing...
