MKV with X.264 chooses wrong decoder

Although I have selected the CoreAVC decoder in config I still end up with the Cyberlink H.264/AVC decoder if I look in the logs. This seems to happen with all my mkv files.

Should not the H.264 decoder go for mkv files? I think it should...

The config app selection of H.264 decoder only applies to live tv (for those with H.264 channels) and the playback of .ts files. ie, GB-PVR generated stuff. When you play AVI files or MKV files (or other non-.mpg non-.ts files) its left up to directshow to choose the system default decoders.
