Its all to do with what gets loaded first.

The only time sub knows that a plugin has an external reference to something other than itself is when he tells the plugin to initialise.

And i think DLLs with the same name are only loaded once. having the DLL in the gbpvr folder obviosly caused problems for fatman_do, and that wouldn't surprise me. I dont know why, but I'm not gonna argue.

Shared DLLs have always been a problem which is why I tend to not use anyone elses "stuff".

Its interesting that with actcms have two different versions there - and 3 copies...it'd be interesting to see which one each is using (ML2 displays the interfaces version when starting), not sure if actcms implemented the same within MLPanel - I did recommend it as it forces the dll to be loaded at that point...

I really am kicking myself for not saving a copy of that setup. I usually copy the gbpvr folder over on my laptop when doing a bunch of new stuff, but my 40gig hard drive is stressed to the point of every meg counts. Lately, I only back up sub's blue skin.

I will be more diligent in the future to help debug.

Otherwise, if this is going to be a shared DLL, would one location (Common) seem more logical due to future proofing??

Granted I know nothing about coding so what do I know??

I'm in no way criticising your workaround - especially as it works...Smile

It's just that, I'm not too comfortable with a situation like this where I don't fully understand what is happening. Sad

short answer is yes, and that maybe something changed for the new versions going forward. It will just need some co-ordination between actcms and I. And we may call on you to help with a set up script if we may, for checking older versions etc...

Sure, I'll be happy to help with installers.

I had the same experience as a post on the ML2 thread about installing the panel and disabling ML2, so I thought the problem may be a wide spread issue. That is why that became my defacto answer to all these problems.

Good work to the both of you on your efforts. Not sure you developers get the thanks that you guys deserve.

Right, I just noticed ML2 isn't even a menu item when the MLPanel folder is there. ACTCMS's email is fine now though.

Looks like this is your problem:
[CODE]node not found: /settings/Placements/Placement[@name="Playing-1"][/.CODE]

It doesn't say what skin you're trying to run it with, but I'm picking that as the issue.

Are you using the blue skin that actcms packaged MLPanel with?
