You may have have to go to Services, select the recording service, "Properties", "Log On" tab and tell it to allow the service to interact with the desktop.

If you haven't disabled UAC, try setting the properties on the recording service and tray executables to always run as administrator. Other than that, I'm out of ideas.

This is a known limitation on Vista, and something you'll need to learn to live with. There is no plans to fix this on Vista (due to no easy way to do it other than telling the user to disable UAC).

LOL, pretty ugly way for MS to handle this. OK I had tweakUAC on quiet mode. Will turn it off.
