I'm not quite sure where they came up with those numbers. Did they work for you?

You can adjust the values to match the ones in your TotalMedia suite.

Hi guys. It's been a while since I checked out this thread. I pretty much prepared a custom qam.ini file the way you did here. Still unsuccessful. Didn't see the reg file though.

Anyway, have you gotten the KWorld 340U to work now?

I was not successful either.

Surprisingly for me, however, the 340U QAM seems to work great with DVBViewer.

Something else to try. I am new here today, and know nothing yet about GB-PVR, but
I am trying to get better QAM than I can with TotalMedia. I got it partially working on a
beta QAM version of EasyHDTV, by using a trick. I first ran TotalMedia and put the 340U
in the Cable (QAM) mode, then exited the program and started EasyHDTV, then did a scan. It found over 150 channels and more than 30 of them had low res video and audio. Unfortunately none of the Local Comcast cable versions of the local TV stations
had any video or audio, only the EPG info showed up. So today I downloaded GB-PVR
and hope I can get it to work. I haven't learned enough yet to get it working in the
ATSC mode, but in searching for info I came across this thread and thought the trick
might help you to get QAM working. Even though exiting the program turns off the
blue light inside the 340U, the mode stays until you actually unplug it. If you unplug it
it reverts to the ATSC antenna mode.

Hope this helps

To All,
Success in scanning QAM with the KWorld ATSC 340U
1. Use Post #6 above to setup capture device for QAM.
2. Place the suggested qam.ini from post #30 into the GBPVT\BDA\ATSC\ folder.
3. exit gbpvr and bring up TotalMedia, put the 340U into ATSC Cable (qam) Mode.
4 Exit TotalMedia and bring up GBPVR config. and configure the capture device
following the Quick Start instructions. I used DVB EPG broadcast for EPG Source.
5. clicked on Map digital channels to EPG channels to start scan. Here there was nothing
active above channel 120 on comcast cable, the scan could be shortened. It found
almost 400 channels, but only about 42 were regularly active including some HD.

To go back to ATSC antenna mode you can unplug the device to reset it. Or do it
from TotalMedia. So it still remains to figure out how to do that in software.

I set up a second configuation as shown at the beginning of this thread for antenna mode. How do I set up PVRX2 so it can work with either configuration?

I am happy because the cable versions of the OTA channels work and I get over twice
as many channels as I do with TotalMedia.

Thanks to all who have worked on this.

You should be able to disable and re-enable the device in the device manager. If it works, give me the exact name shown in device manager and I can create an application that will do it.
