Hi, See attechment. I have installed GBPVR on windows XP Pro with three Technotrend BDA devices (s-1400, s-3200 (=skystarHD) and connect 3600.

During channel scan frequently crashes (see screenprint).

I have attached config.exe log files.

Regards, Eppo

(BTW: I installed all the required software, also put the ttBdaDrvApi_Dll.dll in the GBPVR dir. I have dvbviewer / dvbserver installed and have no problems there)

This is dying in psisdecd.dll, which is a Microsoft component. I seem to remember there is a Microsoft patch somewhere that has resolved this for a few people that had this problem.

I'm pretty sure this is the patch I'm thinking of: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=896626

Thanks! You have a good memory. I'll trie this tonight. Maybe put this in a sticky? Technotrend is very popular in EU and GBPVR is growing because of it's NMT support.

Its only effected about two other users in the past, so probably doesnt justify a sticky, otherwise we'd have thousands of stickies - one for every second post Big Grin

(and too many stickies are annoying too, given i have to scroll past them about 1000 times a day to read new posts)

Thanks again for looking into this. Here are the config files after a fresh crash. This is from the TT connect 3600.

I cant see an obvious cause in the logs.

Is it always the same step of the scan that craps out?

No, i'm afraid it's random.

To exclude memory problem i changed the modules, no difference. The scan just randomly stalls in this way frequently. Is there a way to add channels manually or import? I ask this also because the scan does not reveal all the channels, like National Geographic HD and Discovery HD on astra 23.5 (CanalDigitaal). I can find these channels with the Transedit tool from dvbviewer.

No, not really.

You could try clicking the 'advanced BDA settings' button, on the screen where you selected your capture device, and tick the 'ignore PMT CRC errors on scan', then see if these channels show up.
