Nova-S channel missing, UK

Hi all,

this relates to a thread currently running here:

but seems to have a different slant.

If I run my Nova S with Win TV or FireDTV with the viewer I pick up channel More4. It plays with both these programs. It is found in a scan with GBPVR with these settings:

T:10729,V,22000,56~NID:32~ONID:2~TSID:2042~P:8340~V:2361~A:2362~L:eng~PMT:268~TXT:2364~PCR:2311~N:>More4

which would correspond to the entry from Win TV (manually entered as won't cut and paste):

More4 10729 22000 Linear vertical 2:2042:8340

However even though found in a GBPVR Scan it won't play in the preview window and if checked as channel to play it just ain't playing ball. Any advice?

If someone can capture a 80MB or so full transport stream from this frequency, and throw it on a web server, I'll download it and find out why it is happening.

pardon my ignorance but how does one go about capturing a full transport stream?

I've done a rescan today with my FireDTV in the hope that this channel will pick up but still no joy..... It sees it but refuses to play

You probably need to use a tool like the Twinhan capture tool from http://www.twinhan.com/download_driver&software.asp. I'm fairly sure it works with non-twinhan cards.

Hi Sub,

it would appear that the Twinhan capture tool wants to work with me, it finds both my non-twinhan cards.

I've entered frequency etc but gives me a message at the bottom:

Failed: Invalid Arguments!

It is now late here in the UK and I'm probably missing something obvious can anyone enlighten me?

I havnt used it for DVB-S, so not 100% sure about the settings it requires.

You need that 22000 in the Symbol Rate field. LNB Switch probably needs to be 11700.
