MDPlugin not working in recordings

Works correctly for live tv but not for recordings. When recording none of the values populate in the plugin's screen. When watching live they do.

Do a recording then post the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log and GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log and I'll see if there is anything obvious happening.

That log doesnt show a recording. You'll need to post the logs immediately after a recording happens or at least after one starts.

I noticed that the information that is usually logged in the files you requested was being written to some new log files (something like BDARemote...) which started after enabling the MVP stuff. I disabled it and cleared out the logs and did another one and it appears to show the details for the recording.

It relates to this missing component, which is responsible for feeding info to the mdapifilter.

Try running the ReRegisterFilters.bat file. If you're on vista you'll need to start a command prompt with "run as administrator" and run it from there.

Reregistered filters. Listed as in the graph but still no joy.

Does the tray icon now show any output in its log window?

It show getting the MDAPI version and loading the plugin dll.

Maybe try creating a c:\temp directory, and in regedit set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Devnz\LogPSIProcessing =2 (DWORD), then try a really short recording (one minute or less). Zip and attach the c:\temp\psi.log that got created. Delete the registry setting - it generates massive temporary files.
