I installed 1.2.13 today to see if the channel mapping after a scan works as you mentioned it would.
sub Wrote:...To be honest, I'd never known there was a relationship between the P: number and channel numbers often allocated by ClearQAM capable TVs etc. No one has ever pointed it out before, and its not something I've been able to test myself. I've updated the logic in the next release to do the same thing...
I did a rescan and it didn't find any channels now. I just wiped my config.xml and scan cache and I removed the capture source in the config. I just now re-added it and I am doing a new scan. So far it found nothing and it is almost done.

New scan finished and I only got a few channels. I re-loaded .09, scanned and only got half the channels I had earlier. I may have a hardware issue. I'll post back later after some checking.

Sorry, I dont know.

If going back to 1.2.9 didnt help, then something else has most likely changed.

I'm not sure what has happened, but now I am not getting any QAM love from either version. I've re-installed the drivers for the card, reseated the card....everything I can think of, but I am getting nothing. I'm wondering if the card has died on me somehow.

Did you happen to make changes to your qam.ini file previously? If so, the changes were probably overwritten with the defaults when you installed 1.2.13

Nope. It just worked "out of the box". I think I was having hardware malfunctions. I am getting ready to try it again.

Are you just using the latest drivers from the avertv web site?
I'm simply asking out of curiosity. I have an m780 sitting in its box, and I will be installing it sometime this weekend. I'm hoping to use QAM as well.

Yes I am using the latest beta x.26 clear QAM drivers. I haven't got it working with GBPVR again yet, although it is now working well with SageTV.

Thanks for the reply.
It's too bad it's not working out. I had some issues when I upgraded to 1.2.13, where PVRX2 would not turn on my digital card. I cleared everything, and did a clean install and all worked.
I think sub may ask you to post the log files after scanning.
I'll report after the weekend if I get to install mine.

I think mine was due to the card freaking out for some reason. I have now changed the slot it is in from the pci-e x1 to a pci-e x16, changed the BIOS so spread spectrum is now off and switched the cable feeding it to the primary spot on the splitter. I re-installed the drivers cleanly. I removed GBPVR did a clean install with each version and now sometimes it just hangs during the scan, othertimes it finds a few channels which are not really tune-able or nothing at all. GRRRRRRR!
