Out of all the recordings I have I only got one poster "euro trip" after hitting ctrl-o . Is this commun. Do I have to find posters mannually?

A few weeks back, I wrote a command-line utility for my own use - I call it GetArt.exe. Â I created it so that by simply adding it to my PostProcessing.bat file (eg. GetArt.exe %1), the utility would automatically grab from IMDB a .jpg file for the just-completed recording (unless one already existed in the Art directory).
I've had good success with the utility finding a .jpg that matches well with every show that I've recorded, but that only amounts to about a dozen different programs. I'd be happy to post GetArt.exe for everyone's use, but I'd first like to tweak the logic a bit more. Â So, if you have a recording for which you have not been able to get a matching .jpg using Cntr-O, please post the name of the recording file here. Â I'll test it with my utility and this way I can make sure that it's "ready for primetime".

The current algorithm I use has about a 60% chance of getting the right art for my shows. I havent really played with it after the first pass since I only use it once.

Sorry to be a dodo, but where is the 'download' button in Xrecord? I am using a Compro T200 remote.
Also does CTRL-S stop a recording, or what does 'Stop' mean? Thanks

I use the new Hauppauge remote - and in it I use the stop button to fetch pictures.

in the plugin not the video hit stop over a show and it will pull up a menu to download the picture.

As per instructions for downloading show pics in the wiki: "stop Button (ctrl-s) on group shows recommendations and picture download. Dl icon 1 is from imdb, Dl icon 2 is from tvtome since they have different pics." I press Ctrl + S and it shows "DL image 1" and I can not figure out how to switch to "Dl image 2" if "DL image 1" comes up with an incorrect or no image at all? Hope this all makes sense. you can save the file manually into the art directory under gbpvr. Just remove the special characters. tvtome is gone I havent had time to rewrite the code.

Downloading posters doesn't work for me at all. When I hit the Stop button, I get the menu and select DL image 1, get returned to the previous menu, but no image is downloaded. I've tried it for about a dozen different show titles, and it never works. I searched for log entries to see if I could find any activity or error messages, but found none. Any ideas? jimh, You said you wrote a utility called GetArt. It's not in the wiki Utilities section. Will you post it or may I have a copy? Cheers .... Bob |
