I am trying to look at the source files. When I try to open the solution in VS2005, it complains that the project was created in a newer version

It should still compile - its the project file that is the issue - studio2008 is free so its probably just best to dl it

Ok, I can just install VS2008 in VirtualBox and hopefully save it as VS2005 solution.
Thanks, Khurram.

Thanks for the plugin CarpeVideo.
I've got one noisy analog channel. To clean it up, I have constructed a graph with the ffdshow raw filter inserted between the video out pin of the capture filter and the mpeg encoder. This has allowed me to tweak and fiddle with the noise reducers on the ffdshow raw filter and I have it working on graphedit quite well (either rendering to screen or writing to file using the GBPVR writer). The recording service fails to load the graph however... I hesitate to post entire logs cause the only thing i found in the GBPVRRecordingService log was 2008-06-05 00:44:00.281 VERBOSE [5] ********loading graph now C:\Sources\KworldREC.GRF 2008-06-05 00:44:27.828 VERBOSE [5] ********Error loading graph C:\Sources\KworldREC.GRF 2008-06-05 00:44:27.828 VERBOSE [5] GraphRecorder:LoadRunGraphFile: Loaded new graph C:\Sources\KworldREC.GRF 2008-06-05 00:44:27.875 VERBOSE [5] Graph Recorder: Change Graph: looking at filter: 713x BDA Analog Capture 2008-06-05 00:44:27.875 VERBOSE [5] Graph Recorder: Change Graph: looking at filter: 713x BDA Analog Xbar 2008-06-05 00:44:27.875 VERBOSE [5] Graph Recorder: Change Graph: looking at filter: 713x BDA Analog TV Audio 2008-06-05 00:44:27.875 VERBOSE [5] Graph Recorder: Change Graph: looking at filter: 713x BDA Analog TV Tuner 2008-06-05 00:44:29.218 VERBOSE [5] ******* Graph Recorder: Setting video type = Default 2008-06-05 00:44:29.218 VERBOSE [5] GraphRecorder:LoadRunGraphFile: trying to run graph 2008-06-05 00:44:29.609 VERBOSE [5] GraphRecorder[4032828]: startProgram-StartRecording('C:\Sources\KworldREC.GRF') Using filename:\TV_Rec\Manual Recordings\ffdshowtest_20080605004500 ..but this file is not written. The recording service sometimes acknowledges that it has failed and other times has it as pending (this may be my fault, restarting the service prior to the scheduled recording ending). - The plugin and graphs work fine in GBPVR without the ffdshow raw filter (connecting capture video to mpeg encoder in). - I'm using the latest version of ffdshow tryouts, GBPVR. - I've disabled the ffdshow filter setting that blocks particular applications from using it. - ffdshow post processing is off in GBPVR config. I want processing prior to encoding. - I had a (short) stab at the ffdshow video encoder with mpeg2 encoding but it didnt want to connect with the ATI mpeg multiplexer. Just wondering if it is possible to have the ffdshow raw filter in the graph? If anyone has this working, please share. I was inspired by this thread on AVS forums... http://archive2.avsforum.com/avs-vb/show...p?t=608161 (I've been more modest tho and just used ffdshows ability to use dscaler noise reduction filters)

It has an error while loading the graph:
2008-06-05 00:44:00.281 VERBOSE [5] ********loading graph now C:\Sources\KworldREC.GRF 2008-06-05 00:44:27.828 VERBOSE [5] ********Error loading graph C:\Sources\KworldREC.GRF Normally I would say it is the ffdshow filter controls that stop it from loading with certain apps but you say that you enabled that correctly. Do you have the graph open elsewhere? Perhaps it allows only one filter at a time?

I'm using this on a dedicated GBPVR server with no other media playing or PVRX2 running. The mpeg encoding+mpex is done by the ATI filters.
I havn't bother to try and render/display this channel in PVRX2 on this server as my computer will not have the grunt to filter->encode->write mpeg file->decode->render ... just trying to schedule recordings at the moment. I will try to strip the ffdshow filter to bare bone settings (so that it is virtually invisible in the graph) and if it works, will work back from there. Otherwise I'm not going to frig around with it too much. Will post solution if I get it working, thanks carpeVideo.

I have a strange problem trying to use graphRecorder plugin with TV Listing plugin. I have 2 capture source:
1) defined in graphRecorder plugin 2) avermedia m038 I have problem timeshifting with source 1 but strangely not with source 2. When I try to timeshift with source 1, I get an error "... no tuner is available..." and I get the following in the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log: Quote:2008-06-05 17:23:34.359 VERBOSE [7] Looking for missing assembly in C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\plugins\TV Listings: DirectShowLib, Version=1.5.0.29121, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=67e7b740cdfc2d3f However, I dont get any error with source 2  Thanks, Khurram.

Make sure the directShow dll is in both the plugin/graphRecorder directory and the main plugin directory. For some reason pvrx2 and config.exe may look in different places

I had also posted to the TV Listings support thread and the author of that plugin suggested that I should place DirectShowLib.dll in Plugins\Common folder. Earlier it was just in the Plugins folder. I did that and the problem went away. Now I have DirectShowLib.dll in 3 directories: Plugins, Plugins\graphRecorder and Plugins\Common

First, I would like to say thanks to carpeVideo for generating this plugin!
Secondly, fyi, the issue with the directShowLib.dll, I would just like to add that I have received the exact same problem, but GraphRender expected located plugin\common. And now my problem. I am able to create a rendered filter and render a preview of my graph via GraphEdit fine (ok. not perfect, stuttering, but working). Anyway, when I go into GBPVR, all I get is a blank screen. I am going to go under the assumption my graph is tooooo simple! Can you please post a good example graph (some sort of good explanation)? Or give me some hints on my graph (attached)? Thanks Mark
