Hi,

I'm trying to get an EyeTV 250 Plus (actually a rebranded Cinergy HT USB PVR) to work in Windows XP.

There's a set of drivers from TerraTec at:
ftp://ftp.terratec.com/Receiver/Cinergy_HT_USB_PVR

The driver loads when I plug the device in, and the USB device shows up in the Hardware List (can't remember exact name in English).

I've modified both the bda.ini and and the direct.ini:

Addition to bda.ini:
Code:
[TerraTec Cinergy HT USB PVR DVB-T]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=Cinergy HT USB PVR, Digital TVTuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=Cinergy HT USB PVR, Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
Addition to direct.ini
Code:
[Terratec Cinergy HT USB PVR (analog)]
INIT_MODE=DEFAULT
INIT_MSP=0
BLACKBIRD=1
CONEXANT=0
FILTER_CROSSBAR=Cinergy HT USB PVR, Analog Crossbar
FILTER_CAPTURE=Cinergy HT USB PVR, Analog Capture
FILTER_TV_TUNER=Cinergy HT USB PVR, Analog TVTuner
FILTER_TV_AUDIO=Cinergy HT USB PVR, Analog TvAudio
FILTER_ENCODER=Cinergy HT USB PVR, Analog Encoder
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_TUNER_IN=Video Tuner In
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_VIDEO_OUT=Analog Video
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_AUDIO_OUT=Analog Audio
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_IN=TVAudio In
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_OUT=TVAudio Out
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_TUNER_IN=Audio Tuner In
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_DECODER_OUT=Video Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_VIDEO_IN=Analog Video In
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_DECODER_OUT=Audio Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_AUDIO_IN=Analog Audio In
PIN_CAPTURE_I2S_OUT=I2S
PIN_CAPTURE_656_OUT=656
PIN_WRITER_INPUT_IN=Input
Both shows up in Config.exe and TuningAssistant.exe but:

When I try to do the initial "Map channels to EPG" I get an "unable to start the BDA device you've configured".
With a following windows error dialog with:
Code:
System.NullReferenceException: Objektreferensen har inte angetts till en instans av ett objekt.
   vid NativeUtilities.BDARecorder.SubmitTuningRequest(String tuningRequest, Boolean force)
   vid NativeUtilities.BDARecorder.StartScanTransponder(String transponder, Int32& signalStrength, Int32& signalQuality)
   vid Config.Plugins.x501d1ffea8b79320.x692a1118e1794d77(Object xdf2e3583f942db7b, EventArgs xc4f45905cb1fc7ba)
   vid System.Windows.Forms.Timer.OnTick(EventArgs e)
   vid System.Windows.Forms.Timer.TimerNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m)
   vid System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)
If I run TuningAssistant I get a similar windows exception dialog...

I've mostly tried this on a clean Win XP SP2 + all pre SP3 patches with nothing more than GBPVR and the Cinergy drivers installed.

Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure this device doesnt have the hardware MPEG2 encoder required for analog support, so wont be usable for analog in GB-PVR.

The digital side should work though. If you click the 'map digital channels to epg channels' button then zip and attach th config.exe-native.log then I'll take a look.

The device is specified to have a MPEG2 encoder for analog video. That's why I bought it ;-)

Checking the filters in GraphEdit I found a few inconsistencies with the filter inputs/outputs. But no change in EPG update...

I've attached a zip with my native-log, a pic of my GraphEdit filters and my ini-files.

thanks

I'm not really sure what to suggest. The names look correct, but it seems to b refusing to connect the tuner and capture filters.

Thanks for checking the config. Seems like there's a problem with the driver then.

I've already sent a support request to Terratec, with no answer.
Sub - Terratec : 2-0

I'm switching to Mac OS and eyeTV until I get an answer from them.
