I've been searching the forums and can't seem to find the answer to my issue: I am running 1.1.5 with a PVR-350. I want to keep the computer in another room and run just the 350's output and the IR cable to the living room (no monitor, keyboard or mouse). If possible, I would like to put the computer into Standby when not in use but I need to wake the computer with just the remote (as the keyboard and mouse will me kept in the basement). Is there a way to force it wake on an IR signal? The system does wake properly to DL a new EPG or capture a scheduled recording.
Feel free to direct me to another thread if I missed it in my searching...

On a side note, this is my first exposure to a DIY PVR and I am very impressed not only with the software and numerous helpful plugins but also with the expansive member community. I want to give a special thanks to sub for the diligent effort to this community. I can see your hand everywhere around here and it's much appreciated!

there's no way to wake the computer with the IR reciever on the PVR350. you would at least need another reciever, some other user has suggested the MCE Remote to be able to wake up, i'm using a custom reciever, read the details here http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...ostcount=2

I have the MCE remote/Receiver and I can hibernate (or suspend) and wake from that using the remote PC power button on the MCE remote.
It did stop working though if I changed to use the replacement driver as suggested here.

In the end I just reverted back to the original eHome driver.

Some Silverstone cases are able to wake up the system by the internal IR-receiver of the case. E.g. the one that's running GBPVR in my place: http://www.silverstonetek.com/products/p...m&area=usa

I just got an MCE remote and found that I could use it to wake from standby. However, it won't wake from Hibernate, but you can't win them all.

a Jet-eye, and a 'winlirc' would do it. I did it. then I bought a MCE 150 kit.

I have a few Jet-eyes kicking around. If you want one. (free) PM me.

Look at my sig about the build your own htpc. The case mentioned does this, but it does this by putting an adapter between the power supply connector and the motherboard via the IR board. It will wake from anything..it acts like you just hit the power button in the front of the machine.
