This is from my post in the Network Media Tank forum:

I tried out the GBPVR yesterday and got it working, nice GUI and rather quick, but not as responsive that I had expected.

I use DVB-T and when changing channels I get no "Buffering" but I do get resolution changes, I will try to explain.

I have the GBPVR GUI set to 720p and my PCH set to 1080p, when I am in the GBPVR GUI the ouput is 720p but when the videostreaming of live tv begins it changes to 1080p. That is how it should be. I can see on the tv that every time i change a channel it will switch back to 720p and then back again to 1080p only for a very short period and I never see the "Buffering screen.

Will try to set the MVPMCX2 to 1080p instead of 720p and see if that is more smoother.

Now for the problem, I am using MDAPI plugins (NCSclient) for my encrypted channels. It works fine on the PC with the client software but not on the PCH using streaming. Whenever selecting an encrypted channel I do get the "Buffering" and then nothing...

If you record from one of these channels, does the recording playback find on the PC? If so, does that same recording playback on the PCH?

It still should be noticeable faster with -m 720 than the PCH, especially when you use the prev and next keys to navigate folders. If you compress and upload your GBPVR logs and I will have a look.

Also I saw your post on the NMT forums and if you don't like to see your tv change to 720p mode try -m 1080i or -m 1080p You should keep the resolution at 1280x720 however.

Edit: Actually I re-read your post and you say it goes to 720p between channel changes. If you are doing this with the arrow up/down or by channel number you are really in a no-signal state, (the OSD is not turned back on) so this might just be HDMI searching for a signal and mvpmcx2 cannot control this.
