I have follow the instructions in survival and was able to see the mount directory after telnet.htlm. I can see the list of ISO in the mount directory.

The next step is to view the ISO image, but I am not sure how to do this. I turn on the DVD plug in and can't see the DVD in the menu since this option is off for MVP function like PCH. I then add the DVD directory to Video Library where I can see the ISO image, but when I select PCH try to process something then it went back to main menu. Do I need DVD Deamon software for this to work?

What is the different between this and the direct share DVD folder to PCH? what is the advantage? I am able to view DVD from ISO image when I tried direct share DVD folder, but I am not able to fast forward.

Thanks in advanced.

You're supposed browse to the ISO file in the Video Library and select it from there.

If you reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your logs then I'll take a look.

There isnt really any difference, but it does mean you can do it inside the GB-PVR UI instead of having to drop out to the PCH UI. You can use preview images in the Video Library etc, or you can use plugins like MovieWiz etc to give cover art etc.

Sub,

I am unable to play ISO image DVD2.iso from Video Library. I am able to see the files from telnet session.

From the GB-PVR side it looks ok in the logs, but hopefully martin will have some ideas.

You might need to try running mvpmcx2 from the telnet session to see the output on the PCH side of things.

Everything looks fine in your setup and based on your comments in message 1 some DVD's work, so I would assume something about DVD2.iso is "bad". For sure if this file is CSS encrypted the PCH won't play it. If it isn't encrypted one test is

mkdir /iso
mount -t iso9660 /mnt/F\:\\DVD\DVD2.iso /iso
ls /iso

You should see VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS

Note the problem with FF is probably throughput related it has nothing to do with GBPVR or mvpmcx2.

Edit: After doing the test above enter

umount /iso

Martin,

I can't mount to /iso directory see error below.

To clarify, I was not able to view DVD from GBPVR at all; however, I play them fine via the PCH interface as a share directory.

Is F:\ also your mvpmc share? You should probably upload your script.cgi that sets all this up.

I have c:\mvpmc as share for startup script. I have a separate drive F: for movie and DVD folder which I only share DVD folder with share name DVD. I have GBPVR video library directory point to F:\DVD with logical name DVD. I am not sure the relationship between video library to /mnt/F:\DVD in this whole process.

Dan L.

PS c:\mvpmc is a separate share from F:\DVD

Can you capture the output of the mount command with no options?
