Client not working

Just set up gbpvr as a client. I see the TV Guide, my recordings on the server. WHen I try to watch a recording the screen goes black for a second then back to the recording page. LiveTV is just a black screen and I cannot leave without ALT-Tab to another application. Suggestons?

You're probably going to have to post your logs. Sounds like codecs on the client may be a problem.

You didn't indicate if you were using file-sharing or streaming. It looks like the client is having a problem opening the file to play.

Is that target file on the client or the server? Placing the recordings in My Documents may not be the best place to store recordings, as you may run into security problems when trying to access from the client.

Looks like your firewall is blocking port 7967 when trying to play back (stream) a recording.

When playing back a video, I believe it uses file sharing, that's why your video library files play(file sharing), but your recordings (streaming) do not.

I was after the server logs. These are the client logs.

In the server logs we'll be able tell if its getting requests from the client, and if it was able to access the file requested.
