this is in version 1.2.13. when watching live tv (digital freeview) and the epg program changes, the program freezes slightly and sound is muted.

exiting live tv and going back in fixes it.

(i also have the memory error when mapping/scanning digital channels so not sure if related.

rather not remove and install previous version then upgrade, if i have to...

Are you in timeshift mode? If so, I'm assuming its related to the audio decoder you're using.

I'm not sure why the video would freeze slightly when the epg program ends then. This only happens with timeshift mode (when it switches to the next recording file).

My question is, why has this sound mute problem only started happening in the later versions? Roll back two versions and the problem is fixed - but I loose all the latest features and bug fixes.

Also, why does this only happen in time-shift mode? Does GB-PVR use a different API when playing TV in time-shift mode verses live TV? On my media centre PC audio starts to break up and then eventually stops altogether when using live TV mode, so I have to use time-shift, but then I get the sound mute problems in latest version when the EPG programme changes.

Could anyone recommend a free MPEG audio decoder that I should be using?

I have also been getting a very similar problem in this latest release, but as well as pausing and muting, I am also seeing random channel changes and aspect ratio changes (always goes to full screen) at the end of programmes in timeshift mode. I am also seeing lots of .ts files in the TV buffer directory which I keep having to delete, this is despite the fact that I have no ts option switched on.

Thanks as well. The patch fixes the muted sound issue for me.

I still have the issue Live preview mode on my media centre PC - sound is perfect for a few seconds then starts to break up before eventually disappearing altogether. The lack of sound also affects the video causing it to stutter and skip. To me it seems as if GBPVR's sound playback rate doesn't match the sound card's and its running out of data, hence the gaps in the sound. But why is only Live Preview mode affected?
