Found my USB flash drive had space that I could use to get the data off.

I uploaded them to mediafire, hope it works.

They are in this Folder, direct links below.

12mux.zip
-This channel caused to crashed attempts (112, 114, 112)
-MD5: 85177239cb7c707a202d61a6a91973b0

114mux.zip
-This channel caused the 2nd of the 3 failures in my testing to collect data
-MD5: 65c3ed45a4e0e70d141baace56fba57d

Both files come with the config.exe-native.log from the test before hand, hope that they collected data which will help.

Unfortunately I was unable to reproduce the crash from those files.

To help narrow down the cause for me, can try running:

regsvr32 /u "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvrtsmon.ax"

Then try running the scan again? If it still crashes then the problem is occuring in PsiParser.ax. If it doesnt happen any more, then the problem is occuring in GBPVRTSMon.ax.

after regsvr32 /u "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvrtsmon.ax" it doesn't crash anymore and gets the whole scan Smile

however, as martin said HERE i shall reinstall now with regsvr32 "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvrtsmon.ax" for i assume this file does something usefull anyway:confused:

edit: scan was done on Astra 1E, 1F, 1G, 1H, 1KR, 2C

Ok, good to know. Thanks.

that you have the channels, if you reregister the filter and find you have problems viewing certain channels, then try the following: create a c:\temp directory, and add an HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Devnz\RecordFullTS=1 (DWORD) registry setting, then view that channel and zip and attach the c:\temp\full.ts file that gets created. Hopefully this file would allow me to determine what the filter didnt like.

It will work with out it, but its preferrable to have it enabled if possible.

after removing gbpvrtsmon.ax (regsvr32 /u "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvrtsmon.ax") Still crashes for me, only half the time now. Also half the times it doesn't fail I get no channels. When these failures (no channels) ocurr, I check the card by accessing it through Hauppauge's software, WinTV, and I am still able to view QAM channels.

Is there a way that I could collect ts files and run them through something to check for a crash again? This way I can collect a file and be sure it causes the crash before uploading it to you.

It must be something transient. What I will try is as you suggested above to lenor, I will enable the RecordFullTS and collect one when a QAM channel will not display or if PVRX2 crashes when changing digital channels.

Great...totally inconclusive...

Yup annoying ain't it.

The big question is, what changed between 1.2.9 and 1.2.13, because, in 1.2.9 I never saw this problem.

The only thing that changed in this area was the new GB-PVR TS Mon filter, which is used for monitoring the stream encryption status and a few other things, but if you deregister that component then it should be identical to 1.2.13.

I'm curious if something has changed in your broadcaster stream and 1.2.9 would also crash while scanning. Some others have had crashes with QAM scanning in past releases, and I'm wondering if you're a member of that group now.

I'm pretty sure for most people in this thread deregistering the GBPVR TS Mon filter will fix their problem, in the same way it did for Lenor above. I'd still like to work out why and fix it though, but I need good same files for that.

I recently had problem with my scan, comcast QAM, it would crash and not complete. This first happend in 1.2.13, but then i was having some other issues so i down graded and then it started happening in 1.2.9. (Read somewhere or heard somewhere that a lot of cable companies are starting to using newer compression technology to get more out of the bandwidth, but cant say this would cause any issues, as i have no idea what effect that has on signal transmission if any)

The difference between my situation and yours is i got mine to complete after several ties, and i have 2 QAM capture tuner HVR 1600 and HVR 950Q, and the 1600 worked 1st time, 950Q had its issues, but never got it working in 1.2.13, and took some time to get it working in 1.2.9, now it all works and have fixed all my other issues, but am sticking with 1.2.9 for now

If there is any info i can get you let me know

Yes, I think this is probably what crlorentzen is seeing above, and the reason it doesnt play in 1.2.13 is related to something else in the new GBPVR TS Mon filter that doesnt like something in the data. (ie two different problems)
