Hi,

Have just got a new pc with the above and despite having installed GBPVR many a time am struggling with this one. When I map channels (Am using dvb epg) it scans the frequencies much too quickly although the preview window does show one or two channels in the process. No channels are actually found though when it finishes and as I said what would normally take about 2 minutes to scan takes about 20 seconds. Unfortuantely I'm not at home so will have to wait till tonight to attach logs but in meantime anyone have any ideas?

Cheers Smile

are you using 1.2.13? there is an issue with DVB scanning (and DVS, i think) - check 'config crashes during digital scanning' thread. might be a new problem you've discovered though...

if uninstalling and installing 1.2.9 won't cause you an issue, i'd do that until fixed or provide your logs etc. for sub and others

Zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Yep installing 1.2.9 did it for me Smile Do you know why this is sub, if not I can reinstall 1.2.13 first and channel scan if you want to see the logs?

Hi,

uninstalled 1.2.9 and tried 1.2.13 again. Looked like it was working for while as found about 10 channels but then 'Unhandled exception' as before and no channels saved. Have attached logs.

Cheers

Try running following and let me know if it fixes it:

regsvr32 /u "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvrtsmon.ax"

Thanks sub that scanned ok, I assume for some reason with 1.2.13 the filter never registered properly?

Thanks again Smile

It registered properly during the install, but its a new component and apparently doesnt seem to like something in the streams used in the UK and some broadcasters in the US. It works fine for me scanning DVB-T/DVB-S/DVB-C, but there must be some slight variations to the streams used in those parts of the world that the component doesnt like.

You can run without this component, but I'll need to fix it since this component provides some great new features.
