Starting from v0.0.5, GB-PVR now supports the Hauppauge MediaMVP as a client. You can use the MVP to do all the normal GB-PVR stuff:

- View the TV Guide and schedule recordings
- Watch movies (MPEG1/MPEG2)
- Listen to music (MP3's)
- Watch Live TV

The GB-PVR MVP support works by acting as a replacement for one of the normal MVP software components. To start the GB-PVR MVP support, perform the following steps:

- Start the MediaMVP as you normally would
- Once it has booted, in the 'Start' menu on your PC click on the Hauppauge MediaMVP -> Stop icon
- Wait about 20 seconds
- In the 'Start' menu click on devnz -> GB-PVR -> GB-PVR MediaMVP Server

Within a few seconds, the GB-PVR user interface should appear on the MediaMVP, and be ready to use.

If you encounter any problems, try the latest Hauppauge MVP software from:

ftp://ftp.shspvr.com/download/mediamvp/m....21343.exe

Very cool - I haven't got a mediamvp, but I am very impressed!

Cheers,

From v0.0.8, you'll need to have version 1.1.21365 or higher of Hauppuage MediaMVP software installed. Many of the protocol messages changed in this release of the software. v0.0.8 includes support for these new protocol messages, and will no longer work with older MediaMVP software installed.

I've been trying to get the MVP working with the version365 beta of the software with no luck. No matter what I try, I cannot get the mvp to do anything after shutting down the Hauppauge service. I tried with gbpvr running, not running, restarted the service etc.... Is there any tips anybody can tell me to get the interface running. BTW, gbpvr works, cause I can watch tv.

mikejaner, are you in the USA (ie NTSC)? I've been trying to get it to work for Bryan, and he also hasn't managed to get it to go.
