Actually comskip will be 100% controlled by GBPVR. Each segment is treated like a separate file by the client. Sub was very clever tricking the mvp dongle into doing this.

There will always be issues with mkv's and mvpmcx2 will continue to just pass these to the PCH as it will for dvd's.

Absolutely. This for me would make me switch to the PCH today.

The easy one
-mpeg2-ps analog capture (NTSC)

No need for PAL ?

Currently comskip support is one of the last things needed to convince the wife to switch to the PCH.

I already have a Swedish PAL sample from the very first group of 3 alpha testers (fred250, dazza139, pwe169) who I haven't really seen around afterwords. Those pre-release alphas probably scared them off.

I can provide any mux you need. I don't actually use comskip (just never got around to it) but I can download it and provide you with comskipped samples.

It's best to assume that comskip will never be available and be pleasantly surprised if it does. I realized yesterday that because of transcoding the MVP doesn't support comskip on the HD and other digital recordings that the PCH is really designed to play.
